DAD From the first time i can remember, I always felt safe when you were around. You taught me lots of things in life, How to keep my feet firmly on the ground. You've never failed to make me laugh, Sometimes You've made me cry. I'm trying to be strong, but failing, However hard i try. I remember times long ago, When I used to hold your heart. And how much you were my hero, Right from the very start. You left so very often, I was broken in two. Each time you returned and came home, With open arms I would welcome you. I will never forget the wonderful times, Together we did spend. If I had a problem, Your ear you'd always lend. My love for you will never leave, It will forever last. No matter what has happened through the years, We will always have our past. You never judged me when mistakes were made, You still showed me so much love. I hope you're watching down on me, Now that you are up above. I cannot say goodbye to you, But can say ta ra for now. I know that in future times, We will be back together some how.
